" Hi! I’m Candi Cane-Canncel on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this topic we’re going to learn how to sew. A great way to teach yourself to sew is by taking a piece of plain fabric and a ruler and a marking pen. With this particular ruler it’s divided in 8 of an inch segments this is a great sewing ruler to have because it’s so clearly to find inch segments to half inch, three quarters, ect. So what I’m really going to do is take a ruler go in maybe 2 inches from the edge and just draw your first line and just keep going in different increments to create lines all the way up your piece of fabric. And this is just a great way to actually practice your sewing technique without wasting a lot of fabric or anything like that. So once you have your lines going all the way across you’re ready to get sewing. For more info on this topic please visit my website at candiland.com."
