"So, there's a few other tools that you might want to use depending on what kind of project your making. A lot of times you might want to punch a hole in something, either because you're going to be running laces through it. So for example, sewing a wallet together or maybe your making, I don't know, something like a key chain or something else that might need a hole in it to maybe run like a, oh maybe a leather cord through it or something like that. So, there's a couple different ways you can do that, this is one sort of kit you can buy of leather punches. It's basically like kind of a sharp cylindrical sort of hard tool that you can put kind of, there interchangeable, you can screw them to the end of kind of the shaft here. And as you can probably already see how this works you do want to kind of case the leather and get it wet and make sure you have a nice hard surface to do this on. This here is a pretty thin tooling leather here so this one will sort of be easy but if I just kind of get this in place and I get my mallet and do this in a couple sort of swift blows I should be able to get kind of a hole into the leather here. And in fact I've gone a, worked almost to well, as I pull it out and there's our hole. And so of course there's also going to be a little leather plug inside this now so some of these kits they give you a little bar like this, which works like a little allen wrench but it's not really and it helps you kind of torque this little tip off there again and you can poke out that little plug of leather. Oops, where is it, there it goes and so yeah now we have a hole and we can use that for all kinds of things. You can mount buttons or little metal fittings through there; you can run cords through there, make holes on things to hang them up. Key chains, Christmas ornaments, whatever you want, and a kit like this comes with punches so you can make holes of different sizes depending on what you need to do."
