"Ok, so now we're ready to start cutting these out. I'm just going to start right here where I made my chalk mark. And I'm really glad I have sharp scissors because if your scissors aren't that sharp, it would be really hard to keep this nice and straight and flat. So, I'm just going to follow my chalk mark all the way up to the very top. And, this will be my first strip. And, I want to show you how to sew all these strips together so you'll have one continual piece. That's one of the main tricks of making piping, is how not to have three separate pieces of piping that you have to connect on your project. We're going to connect them all together at once, then have a long piece for whatever project you want to put it on. Ok, all the way up to the top. It is nice having the chalk mark on there. There we go. I like this fabric. It's really pretty, and it's going to look real nice the way the stripes are going to be sideways, or I guess, diagonal, because they're like this. It's going to look really good wrapped around the cord. So, in the next clip, I'm going to take you to the sewing machine and I'm going to teach you how to sew these two pieces together to make one continuous piece before we put the cording into it. So, let's do that next."
