"Hi. I'm Jeanette White on behalf of Expert Village and Piper's Quilts and Comforts located in Sugar House. Today we're going to be talking about the second technique of picking up a dropped stitch. The first technique we used a crochet hook but on this one you don't need one. So it's just a matter of preference of how you want to do this. I'm going to locate my dropped stitch right here. Get it turned around so it's not twisted and I'm going to put that on my right hand needle. Now I'm going to locate the rungs of my ladder. By that I mean, you can see here these are spread out so that I can see the order of them. This is the 1st one, the 2nd one, the 3rd one and so on. Now I'm going to insert my right hand needle tip right underneath the first rung on my little ladder. With my left hand needle I'm going to insert it into my live stitch and just pop it over that first little ladder. Now I've corrected the first one. And I'm just going to go right on doing this until I've got this live stitch back up so that it can join the rest of its buddies and be knit. And that's the second technique of how you pick up a dropped stitch."
