"Hi, my name is Theresa, and I'm here to demonstrate to you how to use an orange wood stick, and why. When giving yourself a manicure at home, after you've soaked your nails, and you have your cuticles that you'd want to push back, the orange wood stick is great for that. You can either use it with or without cotton at the end to push back those cuticles or to even get the dirt that?s underneath your nail. If you have some cotton at home, just pull some off like this. Dip your orange wood stick in water, and then wrap it around and it instantly becomes a Q-tip. Get that wet and you can go underneath your nail like this to clean it or you can get the other side and push back those cuticles that you had just soaked in the water. This is a great tool in case you polish your nails and you get polish on the side of your nails, and your skin, you can get this, dip it in the polish remover and just use it to wipe away that polish. There also metal ones. The metal sticks are basically used just for pushing back the cuticles. I like this one when after I give myself a manicure, or while I'm giving myself a manicure, 'cause it really does push back those cuticles that are growing up on your nail bed and nobody likes to have those. So you can invest in one of these and buy at the beauty supply or you can simply just get a wood stick like this for ten cents and wrap some cotton around it and have a versatile tool for you."
