My name is Lauren and on behalf of Expert Village I'm here to talk to you about styles on the go. In order to finish the side sweep look, most people want some height in the crown are so that way the hair isn't so flat to the head. Once you let go of that draw clip or the pony tail holder, you can see her hair automatically is covering those bobby pins so it looks as if her hair is just staying to the side on their own. What you want to do then is go up to your crown area and you're going to lift a section up out of the back. Normally, I usually take from temple to temple on either side and go around. After you pick up that section, you can go back to your draw clip and grab the rest so that way it doesn't interfere with your working. You then split the larger section into smaller sections. Now, most women here tease and they want to run. What this is is a way to back comb it where it's not going to be excruciatingly painful in combing it out later throughout the day. You are going to hold the hair at about one hundred and forty five degree angle. The more you over direct the hair, the more volume you are going to get. You are going to take either a comb or a teasing brush, and you're, as you hold the hair at the angle, you are going to simply start about mid shaft and brush down. Usually you could do three consecutive, just real quick, and then let it fall forward. You're then going to grab your next section and do the same thing. Now, it looks as if it is matted, which is okay because you're going to smooth it out. Also, most stylists will go through and they'll do heavier tease. For you, for everyday look, you don't need to do a heavy tease. You just want to get a little bit of friction almost in your hair in order for it to stay. It just gives you a little extra hold. After your hair has now been teased, we'll slightly back comb and you take a little bit of spray, hopefully one that works, and spray the hair right by where the tease is. Flip the hair over, and as you can see she's already getting a lot of volume, in order to smooth it, you take the same comb and very very lightly just brush some of that back combing right back out. You can then weft, using the back of a tail comb or back of a teasing brush. Take a little spray and just set your style and you can push up throughout the day, its easy maintenance to maintain that little bit of height simply by using the back of a comb. Everybody should have at least a tail comb in their pocketbook. And you just weft throughout the day in order to refresh that height and keep that tease in.
