" Hi! I’m Jamie Yasko-Mangum with Successful Style and Image, today on Expert Village we’re going to talk about your body shape. Oh god I can already hear you cringing now, you don’t want to take a look at your body shape; but knowing your body shape is very important, especially when you’re dressing, because the key to looking good is complimenting your silhouette. I know we all don’t have hour glass size 2 shapes but who would want just a 2 shape, I know you may want to be slim and trim that’s fine but no matter what size you are, no matter how tall you are, no matter how short you are, no matter how thin you are, no matter how moderate you are you always need to have a complementary body shape. So what we first need to do is I first need to tell you is guess what everybody has an hour glass. If you were to plot your body out and stand back from it you would see an hour glass but then you also have a combination stout, you may be a triangle that’s when your shoulders are smaller than your hips, you may be an inverted triangle your shoulders are wider inverted shoulders are wider than your hips, you may be a rectangle where you don’t have much indentation in your torso area a rectangle. You could be a pear shape where all your weight is below your bust area in your stomach and your derriere, those are some shapes you can be. Also you always need to turn to the side and look at the back of you because you’re three dimensional so when you turn to the side you need to look you need to look at your tummy area or your abdomen area, you need to look at the size of your arms to see if they’re full or too skinny anywhere, you need to look at your legs and your thighs I know you’re cringing right now but you need to see what your body shape is. Now if there’s some challenging areas we need to look at those challenging area but I don’t want you just to look at the challenging areas I want you to see your beautiful assets too. Do you have great arms? Do you have great eyes? Do you have great hair, great face? Do you have a great torso? List what your body assets are too but we also need to know the challenge areas that way when we’re dressing we need to know remember how to balance your silhouette, thank your."
