" Hello! My name is Jamie Yasko-Mangum and I’m with Successful Style and Image. Today on Expert Village we’re going to talk about the color of suits and what it communicates also the design of suits. Many times men don’t understand that the color they communicate, communicates the message to their audience. They think that any suit they put on can communicate their confidence, but truly color and design have a lot to do with it. For instance, most men in their closet have a navy blue suit, the one we’re looking at here is pen stripe, and we’ll talk about pen stripe in a moment. But a navy blue suit, that communicates the leadership to their audience, it could be their employees, it could be a seminar their giving, it could be at an after hours, it communicates leadership. When we’re talking about a black colored suit, they’re double breasted black suit that is authority that communicates to the audience authority. And a lot of times it’s not authority that it is being arrogant, it is not authority where that it is being demeaning to people, but it is authority where it shows that the person, the man knows what he is talking about and that respect needs to be earned, that is a black suit. You also have toped colored suits, you have olive colored suits, and those are more personable kinds of suits. There’s somebody that it’s very universal in whatever different type of profession they are in. Now designs of suits, you have pen stripe, pen stripe shows a little bit of creativity in the man’s design with the suit. So here we have a very thin pen stripe, if you get real close you’ll see that it’s different color pen stripe, here you have a real light type of royal blue and you also have a white, that kinds of gives it a little more dimension rather than just the white pen stripe of the suit. You can also find plaids in suits, now when I’m talking about a plaid in a suit it’s not something where that it comes out as a plaid, it is if it blends in with the suit very nicely. Those types from the solid colors, from leadership, power, olive and tope, universal pen stripe, creativity, put that in a wardrobe with the suits. Thank you."
