"My name is Dawn Shannon owner of Intuition Salon and Spa. I have now completed the overall hair color, the highlights, the shampooing, the rinsing; I put in a leave-in conditioner. You can see in the front that we have lightened the hair around the face if you pull it back you can see that there is a lot of lightness through here. The last step of this segment is that I went ahead and I consulted with my client about how to maintain her color at home. It is really-really important that you let your client know that products out of the grocery store are probably not going to be the best color maintenance for their hair. So I went ahead and recommend for her that she use a color shampoo, preferably one with an SPF, a color conditioners, preferably one with an SPF and also a deep conditioner that she can also use at home. It is also good to have them use a leave-in conditioner and use products for styling that are also color safe, help maintain the color and keep the color looking good. So that is the end of how to color and highlight your client’s hair. "
