"I'm Susan Bellone on behalf of Expert Village. Today we are discussing the need to take a minute break every 15 minutes to reduce eye strain while working on your computer. In the last segment we went over a few suggestions to take a break from your computer by actually leaving your desk and in this segment I will review all the exercises and techniques that we have discussed today. Now let's review what we have learned today, everyone needs to rest their eyes periodically to avoid eye strain while using their computer screen and using these four simple techniques will help elevate eye strain. The first exercise is simply deep breathing. Close your eyes, inhale, let it out and relax and continue to do this exercise for a minute. The second exercise is above the head stretching. Make sure that you are not facing the computer screen or have your eyes close while doing this exercise, this exercise will help release tension in your neck and shoulders and you will be ready to go back to work on your computer screen. The third exercise is the across the body stretch. Make sure you are closing your eyes or not facing the computer screen while doing this and this exercise can be done either sitting or standing. The fourth exercise is the shoulder rolls. Roll your shoulders back and center and forward and center and again make sure your eyes are closed and you are not facing your computer screen. Finally, if for any reason you are uncomfortable doing your exercises at your desk, make sure you get up every 15 minutes and go get a drink of water or use the restroom or just walk down the hall and look out the window for a minute.
