"Now we are going to be doing Effleurage on the arm. I can use the Effleurage stroke on the back to connect to the arm, move down the side of the body, light pressure over the joints, anchoring with my left hand, I can apply a lotion. Soothing strokes up the back of the arm and down the forearm. Using more pressure on the up stroke and less pressure on the down. I can focus on the triceps, around the shoulder. Just let your hands form around the body. Move down to the forearm. It helps to anchor your hands, there's less chance of injury, and then down connecting to the hands, then I can move through the fingers. Connect the fingers to the table. This helps the person have a better sense of self, feeling connected and at peace. And that's Effleurage on the arms."
