Magic Rope Trick : Free Magic Trick

"Hi, Tim Mannix, Professional Magician. I’m back again. I am going to show you some party tricks. Hey aren’t you glad you came to Expert Village. I am going to teach you five party tricks. Magician’s call these either betcha’s (just a nickname for hey I betcha can’t do this) or a party trick. They are simple quick tricks you can do at a party or if you are an adult and in a bar and you say, hay I betcha a Budweiser or whatever, you can win that way. It is just silly fun stuff but you will be able to do it right away and some of these are great. First one is the rope trick or whatever you want to call it. I call it the impossible knot. Basically you bet your friends or tell them hey watch this I am going to tie a knot in the end of this rope. Now there is no wind in here and this is great. So if you just do it so you can literally snap, hang on just a second, you can snap, I’m a little out of practice, just snap a real tight knot, third time is a charm, maybe the wind would have helped, anyway, snap a knot right in the very end of the rope and it actually really gets people. Wow, that is cool so you win the bet if you bet a buck or just for fun. So that is called the impossible knot. Now the secret very simply is the knot is already on the rope. So as you come out if you had this in your pocket, I had it behind my table, so I am just hanging the knot behind the table. When I pick it up I just grab it like that. The knot is concealed there. Again, we don’t run if we are not being chased. You say hey, want to see a rope trick. It is all acting. You try once oh no, hang on, little wind in here, little wind in here, close that door. Boom and they are all look at my hand. Sorry I am a little out of practice. Finally the last time all you do is hang onto the rope there, you are going to let that end go and you can whip it really hard and if you really sell this people really buy it and then you win the bet. So that is the impossible knot that you can tie instantaneously. Okay? One of my very very favorites. I feature this in my show. "
