"Hello. I'm Matt Cail and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to creatively carve a pumpkin. Okay, at this point our pumpkin should be completely hollow. There's nothing left inside there. Now a lot of times when you're doing a traditional jack-o-lantern pumpkin, you toss out the guts. Let's not do that today. Put them on a plastic bag and keep them in a heap. Put these off to the side. If you have small quarters and they start getting too aromatic, you can always put them outside your door for an hour or two. Don't any longer, or your neighbors may complain. They may have a right to, too. So our top is all ready to go. We've started coloring in the outside like I actually demonstrated last time, with a black pen. Make sure if you have any like, little inner over-spills here that you wipe those away first. Otherwise, the ink will start to smudge and streak and you won't get any of the swooping lines that we'd talked about. So, it's a nice cut, it's flat on the inside. We've taken off and made sure you don't have any stray seeds on the inside of the top. We want all of the seeds gone. As you'll find out, a lot of the carving we are going to be doing today is going to be fairly detailed which will mean probably this pumpkin's life will be around one week in life- expectancy."
