"Hello, my name is Matt Cail on behalf of expertvillage.com, I'm here to talk about spider web decorations. The next step is to find a good wall to put your spider webbing up. Not all walls are the same and some will work better or worse with your spider webbing. The first thing to keep in mind is color contrast. You want a darker wall, this is a medium to a darker shade. You can see automatically that you have nice contrast with the spider webbing. Even when it's thin, the webbing will stand out as opposed to say if you had a white wall or a light beige wall, the spider webbing is going to be lost and it's always better if you have more color contrast. Another thing to think about is how smooth the wall is. This wall is relatively smooth, if you have a rougher texture on the wall, say concrete, the tape may not adhere nearly as well to the wall as it would if you had like a nice painted surface or even better yet, more like of a semi-gloss. The last thing to keep in mind is to make sure you have your wall be weather protected. You can do exterior walls but if they're exposed to the elements when rained, probably not going to be a lot of people out there watching the spider webs anyway and it's going to be really hard to keep the tape sticking. Even interior walls, if you say down in a basement, if you have damped walls, the spider webbing is not going to adhere very well. "
