"Hi! This is David Jackel on behalf of Expert Village and I'm here to talk to you about using eye makeup with your David Bowie costume. Eye makeup is a crucial part of many David Bowie costumes because he always has some sort of eye makeup. In the case of the Ziggy Stardust costume, you want to have a lot of color in your eye makeup and a lot of definition. There are several things you need to do. The first thing you need is eye shadow. You want colorful eye shadow. You don't want the standard stuff. You want something that's going to stand out. After you apply the eye shadow, you want to use eyeliner. This is going to give you nice definition on your eyes and make them look very pronounced. Now, with eye liner and the rest of the eye makeup, you want to get help from someone who's used to putting on eye makeup. You don't want to throw it on like kids do sometimes with punk makeup. David Bowie had professionals putting on the makeup for him, so you want to get some help too to make sure that your eyes look really exact. After you've put on the eyeliner, it's time for mascara. What you do with mascara is you very carefully apply it to your lashes very lightly, and then bat them together like this. Don't put on excess mascara. It's going to make you feel very uncomfortable. Then afterwards, you use a pencil like this for detailing. Also, if you're like me and you have dark eye brows, it's good to lighten them up because David Bowie has very, very light eye brows. He almost has not eyebrows, and I'm not about to tweeze off all my eye brows. I don't want them to look so prominent, so I'm going to apply some of this to make them look lighter. In general, when you're shopping for eye makeup you want to get the more glittery stuff. There's plenty of it out there. Get The shiny eye shadow, shiny pencil stuff. Also, if you can glitter get that too. Put it on over here. Anything to make your eyes stand out and look sparkly."
