From Australia to the United States, the movement to increase pole dancing's legitimacy as a sport has inspired international competitions and events that judge women based on agility, gymnastic qualities as well as creativity in routine and difficulty. Regardless, pole dancing has been proven to increase strengthen the upper body, abdominal muscles, and buttocks. It also increases agility and flexibility.
