"Talk a little bit about women specific pads and for this matter, it goes with women specific sleeping bags as well. If you'll notice here, I have two pads very similar. The little diamond shaped spots are places where the foam is cut out. That makes it more compressible. But in the non-sex specific one you see it's evenly distributed throughout the pad. On the women specific one, they left some of the insulation in the torso, and also in the foot. Statistically speaking, that's where women get cold and so they make these pads specific for that. Now, I wish they didn't have this pink because if you have some guy that's five foot six, this would actually be a very advantageous pad for him because it does have more insulation in the torso where even guys get cold. But something to think about. If you have any questions, give your local outfitter a holler."
