Trimming the Nails of Pet Sugar Gliders

"Hi, my name is Elizabeth Cantu and I'm representing Expert Village and we are going to trim the Sugar Gliders nails. These guys have needle sharp nails and if you don't want to end up punctured full of holes, trimming these nails might be something you might want to attempt. It's sometimes a two person job, but if you decided that you want to trim your own Sugar Gliders nails, you either want to get a small nail trimmers (as shown) or actually any human nail trimmers will work. What you'll do is you will take your Sugar Glider and instead of taking the whole animal out of there and trying to hold them still you'll just reach into their pouch and grab one limb. And you'll close off the pouch to the rest of their body. They might fuss a little bit, but they are trapped inside of the pouch, so they don't associate this whole experience with you. And then when you clip the nails, you just clip the tip off. You don't need to go very far you just want to take that sharp edge off and that will keep your skin from getting damaged from these guys. If these guys have really overgrown nails, they are much longer than this or are growing into the pad; you may want to go take them to the Vet to have any expert clip those nails."
