When you're fencing competitively or practicing competitive fencing, just as important as your sword is your gear. Maybe a lot of fencing gear you can get, but you never want to fence without these two items. Your helmet--important for obvious reasons. Protects your head. If you're fencing saber, people are aiming for your head. If you're fencing foil or epee, people are probably going to hit your head anyway. So, you want to invest in a good, solid fencing helmet. This is a women's competitive fencing jacket. We've got a couple really convenient pockets inside and ladies, you know what these are for. Men you should prefer to fence with the cup. Special fencing shoes, special fencing pants, all those are really important, but I would never fence without a fencing jacket and a fencing helmet.
