"On behalf of Expert Village, I'm Laura Banford and I'm going to show you how to make shrimp egg rolls and with sesame noodles. Now we're going to begin to make our sauce for our sesame noodles. It's a peanut sauce, peanut sesame sauce. Nice and nutty. I'm using a crunchy unsalted peanut butter. You definitely want to use unsalted because we're going to add soy sauce to this and it'll be overly salty, and basically ruin the dish if you use salted peanut butter. We have a little bit of peanut butter there. I'm going to give it a couple of shots of soy sauce and sesame oil. Sesame oil is a great addition. There's nothing like it, and a little bit goes a long way. Some mirin for sweetness. A little red pepper. You can heat this sauce. You can do it over a low heat. I'm going to skip that step by adding some water. That will make the mixture a little smoother. The reason you would heat it is to kind of melt the peanut butter so that it emulsifies with the rest of the ingredients, but because I added the water it's doing that just on its own. That way you can build this all in one bowl. When we come back, I'm going to prepare the rest of my ingredients and boil our noodles."
