I’m Aaron Tucker, and this is how to wash dress pants without them shrinking. Before you do anything to your clothes, you want to make sure that you’re looking at the care labels inside. They’re there for a reason, and they should be followed. You can pretty much wash anything, but you want to be a little skeptical about anything with a lining, because if you wash things with linings, you can kind of create, like, bunching underneath your clothes that’ll change the entire fit. But, you want to wash in a cold wash detergent in cold water. Let your pants air dry – any heat to them is definitely going to cause the material to shrink up, so that’s definitely what you don’t want. Let them air dry, hang them. The weight from the water is going to keep your pants long, and in the same shape that they came in. But, you know, follow those care instructions first – this preserves the garment, they’re there for a reason, make sure you pay attention.
