Hi, I'm Paula Pierce, and this is how to make a tied fringe blanket. A fringe fleece blanket is an attractive project to make, perhaps for a throw for your couch, or for a baby gift. The fleece is available in a wide variety of colors and patterns. To create this blanket, you will first need to select some fleece fabric. You will also need a pair of sharp fabric scissors. You will need a ruler or a five by five inch cardboard square. The first thing that you need to do is to cut your fleece to your desired size, making sure to remove the salvage on the edge of the fabric. Next, you will need to cut a square shape out of each corner. I am using a five by five piece of cardboard as a guide, as I will be cutting my fringe to five inches. Then cut your fringe using the cardboard or ruler as your guide. You need to cut your fringe at least five inches long and at least half-inch wide for best results. After your fringe is cut, simply tie a knot with each strand. Tie your knot in the same manner you would use to tie the end of a balloon that you have blown up. Finish tying the fringe around the entire blanket and you're done.
