Hi, I'm Michelle Simone and I'm a Hairstylist, and today I'm going to show you a cute preppy braided hairstyle. So, this is something you might wear as a cheerleader or just a day that you want to do something cute and easy. What I've done is separate her hair into two parts, with the part right down the middle and then, I'm going to, what I'm going to do is take the hair into two reverse French braids, also known as Dutch braids. So, you're going to start like you're doing a regular French braid, taking a section right at the top and splitting it into three pieces. But, instead of braiding them normally normally where you would go over the middle, this time you're going to go under the middle. And as you go, like you would with a French braid, take a piece from the left side, add it to the left strand and go under the middle. And then the same on the right; you take a piece of hair, add it to the right piece and go under the middle. And this is going to make the braid pop out rather than sit flat. So, continue on down the hair, making sure that you keep all the other strands tight as you go, braiding underneath the middle. You take a piece, feed it under, take another piece and feed it under the middle. I like to pull the middle piece through because it's easier to hold the right piece taught as I go. And you're just going to continue this on all the way down the bottom. Once you get to the bottom, just continue it on like a regular braid, but remembering to keep going under the middle piece. And then you can secure this with a rubber band or if you want to do something else, you can add a little ribbon to the ends, you can get a cute little beret, but then you're going to go ahead and do the same thing on the other side. So, secure that rubber band right at the end and then you have your two braids. So, I'm Michelle Simone and we just showed you a cute, preppy, braided hairstyle.
