Hi, I'm Cari Shoemate, and as a trainer I get asked a lot about metabolism. And how can you raise your metabolism so that you are burning more calories and fat throughout the day. Well a lot of people wonder about working out. Yes working out definitely is one of the top ways to get your metabolism raised and to really burn more calories during the day. So people ask me if I work out twice will I burn more calories and will I raise my metabolism even more? Yes you will. So what I recommend is you do two workouts during the day if you have the time. Maybe do cardio in the morning and then weight training in the afternoon. Or you can do a harder workout at one point in the day when you have more energy and then balance it out with some yoga or an easy walk. So what you don't want to do though is over train. So just because you are working out twice a day doesn't mean that you are always going to raise your metabolism twice as fast. Because if you over train you can actually slow your metabolism down. So just make sure that you are not over doing it and balance it out. But a tip that I have for you if you really want to raise your metabolism where you are burning more calories throughout the day. You need to focus on your diet starting with breakfast. You want to make sure that you eat breakfast within an hour when you wake up. And then continue by eating small frequent meals throughout the day. I'm Cari Shoemate, and I'll see you next time.
