Hi, this is Tarik with Tariktyler.com here at Train, West Hollywood, and this is how to do crunches with your feet underneath your couch. Okay, the first thing you need to realize that if you are doing crunches, you don't need to have your feet secured underneath your couch. If you are doing a full sit-up, where your feet needed to be secure, then it would look like this. However, if you are only doing crunches, you don't need to have your feet secured. You can even make it a little bit more challenging by bringing your feet out, raising your legs up so that you are at a 90 degree angle, put your palms behind your head and when you do a crunch all you are doing is coming up to where you feel your abs contract, your spinal column will tilt slightly and your lower back should be pressed into the floor and then just lower yourself right back down. So you are simply performing crunches, you do not need to have your feet secured underneath anything, whether it be a couch, a table, a chair, anything. And this is how you do crunches with your feet underneath your couch.
