Hello, everyone. My name is Joi, and I'm a Makeup Artist in New York. And today, I'm going to show you how to wear lipstick and base. So, a couple of things that we're going to use are a stick concealer and our lipstick and of course our lip brush. So, pretty much the reason that you'll want to wear a base before you put your lipstick on is for a couple of reasons. For one, maybe if you're lips have a little bit of a discoloration and you want to make sure that the lipstick color stays true or if your lipstick tends to feather and go outside the lines of your lips. So, it's pretty easy; we're using a little bit of our stick foundation and I'm just going to take it and do a light layer, spreading it out. I'm going to do top and bottom and this doesn't have to be exactly the same color as your skin. The purpose is just to sort of blot out the color in your lips and to smooth the surface. So, we've got that on and again, just make sure that everything is very very smooth so that your lipstick application goes on very neatly. And we're just going to use a basic, kind of soft plummy color and so you can see what that looks like when you cover it up. And as you can see, it's gliding on her lips very easily and the color is very vibrant. We're going to do that for top and bottom and once you're through with this, your lipstick should actually last pretty, pretty much throughout the day and you shouldn't have any problems with creasing. If you do, it may mean that you put on a little bit too much base. So, just give it another try next time with a little bit less. Okay. So, there we go, we've got our base, we've got our lipstick and after this, you're going to have a pretty long lasting lipstick. So, thank you all for watching and have a good day. Bye.
