Hi, my name is Mitchell Smith, managing partner of Universal Insurance Services and Universal Partners. Today, we're going to discuss ways to market to insurance agents. Marketing to insurance agents, it really depends on what you're trying to market. If you're a wholesale insurance company trying to actually bring agents in to sell your product that's one thing. If you're some sort of business, whatever it may be, going after insurance agents because you think that's a good demographic for you, that's another thing. Understanding the insurance agent is really important. They're commission driven, they're transactional. They only really trust things that can be proven. So you're going to have to have a really good marketing program that shows there's been success with other insurance agents doing what you're doing. If you're new at it you may struggle a little bit. So try to get some people interested in it. Get their testimonials to sell to other insurance agents. Make sure either it's profitable to them in some way, either you're paying them something, obviously for the service; or if the service you're trying to grow their business. If you can prove it'll grow their business and increase their revenue they'll be interested. Or if you can find a way to sort of network amongst them. Maybe you can share a sort of clientele or something like that. Those are other ways. If you're an insurance wholesaler obviously you've got to make sure you have a good service or offering, good underwriting, good product support. Knowing what you do. You need to prove it.
