Hi. My name is Gaby Jimenez with thestyleworkshopsite.com, and today I'm going to show you how to cut your shirt into a flashdance style. You start with a shirt flat on the table. You mark right at the corner where the collar meets the shoulder seam. And you can mark or go by eye, but I'm going to mark this lightly up to the mid shoulder. So mid shoulder, to the corner where the neck meets the shoulder. And the reason for this is to keep the structure, so that it's still fitted, but off the shoulder. Okay. Then you can stretch the neckline, to give it... to have the fabric roll out. As you can see, we kept the structure of the shirt, the shoulder seam is still intact, and then we just cut into the body, into the mid shoulder of the other side. So we do have... so we know that it will stay up on this shoulder, just because we have the shoulder seam intact here. And that is how you cut your shirt in a flashdance style. If you'd like more tips, you can visit thestyleworkshopsite.com. Thanks for watching!
