Wow your friends with this interactive and totally hip Pinterest costume. Use your favorite magazines to "pin" your favorite things and then let your friends "heart" the ones they love.
Gather your supplies. You will need one white display poster board, twine or string, white and red construction paper, a glue stick, scissors, a hot glue gun, and magazines or catalogs to cut up.
Cut out strips of white paper 4 inches wide with varying lengths.
Cut out images from magazines 4 inches wide with varying lengths.
Use a glue stick to stick the magazine cutouts to the top of the white construction paper strips.
Add details to your "pins" such as a pencil rule line at the bottom, a thumbnail image of a Pinterest user, and a simple description to make it even more true to life. Use pictures from magazines to create the user thumbnail and text from magazines to look like the description and user's name. Adhere with a glue stick.
Print the Pinterest logo or cut it out with construction paper. Glue it at the top center of the poster board.
Glue the pins to the Pinterest board in even columns.
Cut out little hearts from red construction paper. Stick tape loops on the back and place them in the top right of the poster board. Friends can use these to "heart" a pin, making this costume interactive and social!
Use magazine photos of people and text to create a "Friends to Follow" box in the upper left corner.
Use a string long enough to fit over your head. Use a glue gun to glue the ends to the board so it hangs evenly.
Show your friends how they can "heart" their favorite pins!
