Raggedy Creek Ranch encompasses 25,000 acres in north-central Texas. The property has a rolling landscape with cedar-covered hills, thick creek bottoms and large open fields. The North Wichita River and several creeks cross the property. Hunting packages include lodging and guided hunts for trophy white-tailed deer. Hunters can also hunt exotic species such as axis deer, blackbuck antelope and bison, as well as turkey and feral hogs. Guests are lodged in a two-bedroom house or a four-bedroom house, each with a fully equipped kitchen and a living area with cable TV. The ranch has a stocked fishing pond and does game processing for an extra charge. In 2010, rifle hunting packages for white-tailed deer were $1,800 for four hunts, four nights' lodging and meals; hunters would take an eight- or nine-point buck, a doe, two hogs and two turkeys. A trophy fee of $1,000 was added for a buck of 10 points or more.

Nooner Ranch

The Nooner Ranch is less then a 30-mile drive west of San Antonio in south-central Texas. The ranch's 100 acres of rolling terrain have a mix of scrub brush and cedar trees. The ranch offers guided hunts for trophy white-tailed deer, with many scoring 170 and higher on the Boone and Crockett scale. The lodge features 11 bedrooms, each with heat control and a private bathroom, plus a large common area with sectional sofas and cable TV. The ranch also offers dove hunting, sporting clays and a rifle range, along with a hot tub and outdoor gathering area with grills and a bar.
In 2010, deer hunting packages ranged from $2,500 to more than $18,000, depending on the size of buck taken. The base price included three days and two nights, with four hunting opportunities.

Thunderhill Ranch is an 840-acre, managed high-fenced white-tailed deer ranch in central Texas. The rugged property has dense brush and cedar tree-covered hills, making for a challenging hunt. Packages include lodging with a double bed, private bathroom and wireless Internet access. Guests receive three gourmet meals daily, all beverages, and on-site game processing. A personal guide takes hunters on two hunts each day for white-tailed deer scoring more than 15 on the Boone and Crockett scale. Ranch amenities include an outdoor campfire area, laundry room and common area with cable TV and couches. Packages include four hunts over three days. The base fee is $3,000, with a trophy fee of $4,000 to $12,000, depending on the size of the buck taken.
