The Best Jobs for Individuals with a Mathematics Degree
Few job titles mention the word "mathematics." However, a graduate with a mathematics degree has unlimited opportunities in the workforce outside of academic careers. While some jobs center on math research and education, others use the profession to solve problems in fields such as business, communications, engineering, finance, manufacturing and science, according to the American Mathematical Society.

Actuaries are experts in risk and work primarily for insurance and other financial services companies, government and corporations. Actuarial roles have been rated among the top five jobs by the Jobs Rated Almanac and U.S. News and World Report.
