Endian Firewall is an open-source firewall software running in Linux. Many users choose to install the Endian software on PCs solely dedicated to the program. The system requirements for running Endian Firewall vary depending on the size of your network.
Networks with up to 25 users and five VPN connections need a Pentium III 1 GHz processor. PCs running Endian on networks with up to 50 users require a Pentium IV running at 2.8 GHz or faster.
For smaller networks, Endian needs only 512 MB of RAM; for larger ones, Endian requires at least 1 GB.
Hard drive space
Small networks need at least 8 GB of available hard drive space, while larger ones need 20 GB of available hard drive.
All PCs running Endian Firewall need two 100 MB network cards. Additionally, computers running Endian should be outfitted with extra cooling components, as they must run without interruption.
