Men and Tools. It may be a stereotype, but if your spouse or boyfriend has never seen a tool he didn't fall in love with, then you have a great starting place in your quest for a perfect gift. Any tool, large or small, will make him a happy man.
Multi-tools are pocket knives on steroids. If the man in your life already owns a multi-tool, give him an upgrade. If he doesn't, now's a good time to take that first step. Multi-tools are available in models with anywhere from 10 to 30 different tools in one place--your man's pocket--including pliers, serrated knife, straight-edge knife, wire cutters, wire strippers, electrical crimpers, screwdrivers with different heads, wood files, metal files, saws, bottle openers, can openers, rulers and awls. One version also comes with a 25 year warranty.
Laser levels use laser beams to draw a level line around a room in preparation for any number of carpentry projects, such as hanging pictures or drawing lines for painting. Some of these gadgets also include stud sensors and sensors that detect live wires. The devices display LCD readout that give exact readings.
There is always a power tool out there waiting to find it's way onto that empty spot on the tool shelf--cordless rotary tools with a super strong battery that grind, cut, sharpen and polish; tire inflators that works from either a home electrical outlet or from your car lighter socket; a number of different drills and drill kits; sanding, scraping and cutting kits with their own carrying cases; and a shop vacuum cleaners.
Although they may not be as glamorous, any number of tools exist for grooming that the man in your life might be pleased to receive--like fancy toenail clippers, nose-hair clippers or electric shavers. High-tech tools are great for many men as well---a one-for-all remote control or a smart watch the provides stock quotes, weather and news both fall into this category and are both good choices.
