Tanning Bed Secrets
Getting a decent tan takes some time and effort. One way you can get a tan in a shorter period of time is by using tanning beds. Even though tanning can lead to health risks, such as skin cancer, you may feel comfortable taking those risks. A few tips can help you get a glowing, bronze tan using tanning beds. Does this Spark an idea?

Start Slowly
-
If you are new to using tanning beds, it is crucial to start out slowly. Not doing so will lead to a painful and damaging sunburn. Instead, start out with no more than five minutes. If you have fair skin, start with tanning in the bed for four minutes. Every other tanning session, increase the time by one minute, if your skin tolerates it. The maximum time for tanning in a standard bed is 20 minutes.
Indoor Tanning Accelerator Lotion
-
Always use indoor tanning accelerator. It aids in getting a deeper and faster tan, as it often contains Tyrosine, which stimulates the production of melanin. That is what tans the skin. They also contain moisturizers that help the skin absorb UV rays. There are a myriad of options from which to choose. For best results, apply the accelerator to the skin two hours before using the tanning bed.

Coverage
-
One tanning bed secret is to tan nude. That results in the most even tan all over the body. There are areas of the body that are sensitive, and you may not want them exposed to the sun rays, such as genitals or even the face. Use towels to cover those areas. They will block most of the UV rays. Some will go through, which will allow the areas to get slightly tan.
Tanning Positions
-
Using tanning beds can result in creases on the body. That is due to laying down in one position. Move around and change the positions of arms and legs during tanning sessions. If not, some parts of the body will not get tan and other parts will have creases. For part of the tanning session, hold your arms and legs away from the body. During the rest of the tanning session, put your arms up over your head and raise up your knees slightly.
