My Webcam Does Not Support the Required Image Size for Yahoo Messenger
Yahoo! Messenger gives users the ability to video chat with several friends at once. If you receive a "Webcam Does Not Support the Required Image Size" error message when attempting to use video chatting, you do not need to run out and buy a new cam. In most instances, the problem is resolvable by such steps as adjusting your settings or updating the webcam's drivers.

Ensure that your webcam and system meet the minimum requirements for use with the Yahoo! Messenger. The camera needs to meet either the small image size of 160 x 120 or the large image size of 320 x 240. Your computer should also have at least Microsoft DirectX version 9.0 installed on the system. If not, you can download the latest version from the Microsoft website. Your camera must also support a RGB or I420 format.
Adjust Settings

Check your webcam's settings in Yahoo! Messenger if you still receive a “Not Supported” error message. Open the application's preferences from the top menu, and then click “Webcam Broadcast.” Ensure that your webcam is selected under “Capture Source.” After selecting your camera, you can save your changes and run the “Voice and Video Assistant” to determine if the problem was resolved. Follow the assistant's prompts until you reach the end.
