My WordPress Plugins Are Not Being Added to the Header
Not all WordPress plugins are created equal. WordPress plug ins offer add-ins and extension features to a theme built upon the WordPress platform. While the WordPress platform is continually updated, not all the plugins are, as these are created by independent developers. Some WordPress plugins add codes or tracking data to your WordPress header, but may not be compatible with your theme, other plugins or your version of WordPress.

Compatibility
-
The first thing you need to check, if the plugin doesn’t function correctly, is whether the plugin is compatible with the WordPress platform you have. Since its release to the public in November of 2005, WordPress has undergone many upgrades. Third-party developers have created thousands of plugins to use with WordPress, but not all are updated when WordPress is updated. If the plugin does not indicate compatibility with the latest upgrade of WordPress, it may not function properly.
Plugins
-
WordPress plugins give added functionality to a website. There are plugins that allow you to add an e-store to your website, track Google Analytic data in the header or the footer, allow for dynamic headers in WordPress or added menus to the header, to name a few. Another plug-n that accesses the header area of the WordPress platform are search engine optimization plugins that insert keywords into the header area of the website.

Plugin Conflicts
-
Besides not working correctly with the WordPress upgraded platform, a plugin can conflict with another plugin. Because individual third-party vendors create the plugins, one plugin may issue a command or request that conflicts with another plugin's software commands, codes or language. Also double check the theme you use for your website is updated and compatible with your plugins and your current version of WordPress.
Fixing the Problem
-
The best way to fix the problem besides contacting the developer directly is to remove disable all the plugins on your WordPress website and then enable the one that has the problem to see if it will work by itself. If you find that it works by itself, it is in conflict with another plugin. Enable the plugins one at a time and check for functionality after each plugin is re-enabled. Also, check for plugin updates by visiting the developer’s website. Even though WordPress provides an update feature, sometimes the developer doesn’t make the update available through the WordPress website, which is where the update feature checks.
