Logitech Wave Vs. Wave Pro

The Cordless Desktop Wave and Cordless Desktop Wave Pro are keyboard and mouse bundles developed by Logitech. The company released the Cordless Desktop Wave bundle in 2007 and the Cordless Desktop Wave Pro bundle in 2008. The two products are nearly identical in terms of design and other specifications.

  1. Keyboards

    • Both Wave keyboards are ergonomically designed in a wave-like shape for extra comfort. Logitech arranges the keys at different heights, mimicking the shape of a wave to accommodate the varying lengths of the fingers on your hands. The regular Wave keyboard uses an RF wireless connection and features onboard programmable controls for multimedia, Internet browsing and screen zoom. The Wave Pro keyboard uses a 2.4-GHz wireless connection. It also has programmable controls for Internet browsing, screen zoom and multimedia. The Wave’s keyboard is powered by four AA batteries, while the Wave Pro’s keyboard is powered by three AA batteries.

    Mouse

    • Both bundles include Logitech’s MX 1100 cordless laser mouse. The MX 1100 uses 2.4-GHz wireless technology and features eight programmable buttons, movement resolution of 1,600 dots per inch, an onboard battery indicator and Logitech’s MicroGear scroll wheel. A pair of AA batteries provides the MX 1100 with up to nine months of run time under ideal conditions. The mouse shares the same four-pin USB wireless receiver as the Wave and Wave Pro keyboards.

    System Requirements

    • The Wave bundle is compatible with PCs running Windows Vista and Windows XP, and with Macs running OS X 10.2.8 or later. The Wave Pro is compatible only with PCs running Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP. It’s not natively compatible with Apple’s Mac computers. To be compatible with the Wave and Wave Pro, computers require one available USB port for attaching the Logitech USB receiver.

    Additional Information

    • The Logitech Wave’s keyboard comes with a five-year limited manufacturer’s warranty, while the Wave Pro’s keyboard comes with a three-year limited warranty. The MX 1100 mouse included with both bundles comes with a three-year warranty. The Logitech Cordless Desktop Wave comes with a keyboard cover and a USB extension cable. Logitech bundles the Cordless Desktop Wave Pro with one combination USB extension and charging cable. It doesn’t come with a keyboard cover.
