    • Communicate. The court may seem a little crowded with three people. Talk out loud to avoid bumping into each other.

    • When you have the serve, try to split the doubles team by aiming your shots between them.

    • If you have any condition that would impair or limit your ability to engage in physical activity, please consult a physician before attempting this activity. This information is not intended as a substitute for professional medical advice or treatment.

The "doubles team" never scores because you can only score during volleys that you served, and you always serve alone. Once the server messes up, one member of the receiving "doubles team" rotates into the serving position, leaving the old server and the third player together to form a new "doubles team." The "doubles team" is not permanent and changes every time a server loses a volley. The rotation occurs according to a predetermined pattern, e.g. "Gupta, Kelly, Amir, then Gupta again"

so when the doubles team scores, who is the one who serves? is it the one who hit the ball when the solo person couldn't return it?
