Instructions

    • 1

Begin at the end of the shoe closest to the toe. Insert the shoelace into one of the eyelets, draw it over the tongue of the shoe and through the eyelet directly across from it.

    • 2

Pull the lace upward with both hands, tugging on each end until each half is the same length.

    • 3

Insert one end of the shoelace into the first empty eyelet on the other side of the shoe, crossing over the tongue.

    • 4

Insert the other end of the shoeless into the first empty eyelet on the other side of the shoe, crossing over the tongue. You should see an "X" directly over the top of the tongue.

    • 5

Repeat threading the lace through each of the remaining empty eyelets. Once at the top of the shoe, each end of the shoelace should be equal in length. You can now put the shoe on and adjust the tightness by tugging on the laces beginning at the toe end of the shoe and working your way up to your ankle.
