How to Add a Logo to WordPress Headers in Thesis
Thesis is a highly customizable WordPress theme, and although it comes with a price tag, many designers consider it a worthwhile investment. With Thesis, you can decide how many columns you want on your page as well as the width of each column. Thesis provides its own SEO panel in its full-featured Options panel. It also has an options page just for uploading a logo or header image, complete with an image resizer tool.

Log in to your WordPress dashboard. If Thesis is not installed, install it using the Theme Uploader tool in the Appearance menu. If it is already installed, click "Thesis" from the menu on the left.

Click "Header Image," which is the third sub-menu below "Thesis."

Click "Choose File" and navigate to the header image or logo you want to use in your header. Click "OK" and then click "Upload."

Click "View WordPress Site" to see how your new logo looks.

Tips & Warnings
The one drawback to this method is the possibility that you might not want your logo to stretch across the top of your WordPress site. If you want a smaller logo, create a new image in GIMP, Photoshop or Paint and set the dimensions of the new image to 960 by 300 pixels. Leave the background white and paste your logo on top (or as a new layer). Resize the logo so it will appear in a smaller area of the header, then add the title of the site front and center. Upload this image as your header image.
