How to Remove Your Relationship Status From Your Facebook Profile Information
Facebook gives you an easy way to let your social network know all about your life. You can share a great deal of information -- such as your interests, hobbies, employment history and more -- through your profile. If you wish to share further, you can express thoughts and activities in real time through status updates. At some point, you may start to think you have shared too much. For example, you may not wish your entire social network to know your current relationship status. Remove this information from your profile to help protect your privacy.

Click the white "Profile" link near the upper right corner of any Facebook page to go to your profile.

Click the "Edit Profile" button near the top right corner of your profile.

Click "Featured People" or "Friends and Family" in the list of options on the left side of the page. This displays your current relationship status.

Click within the "Relationship Status" field to view your list of options. Click within the blank line above all of the other options to remove your relationship status from your profile. Click the blue "Save Changes" button to save this update to your profile.
