How Do I Re-Download iTunes?
Occasionally a software or hardware problem might stop the Apple iTunes application on your computer from working properly. If you can't access iTunes or the program freezes when you try to use it, you might need to download and reinstall iTunes from the Apple website. This overwrites the existing software application files, but leaves database files intact, so you won't have to build a new iTunes library from scratch. Re-download Apple iTunes from the download page on the Apple website.

1
Launch your Web browser and go to Apple.com/itunes/download. Apple will automatically detect your computer operating system version and display this information in the top left-hand side of the page.
-
2
Click the blue "Download Now" button. Choose "Save" rather than "Run" from the download dialog box, and set a save location on your computer's hard drive. On home computers, the default save location is usually the "Downloads" library folder.
-
-
3
Wait for iTunes to download. The installation file is around 80 Megabytes in size, so the download process might take a few minutes, depending on the speed of your Internet connection.
-
4
Go to your "Downloads" folder, or the computer save location you chose in step two.
-
5
Double-click the file "iTunes32Setup.exe" or "iTunes64Setup.exe" to start the installation process. Select "Repair" from the installation dialog box. This overwrites or replaces missing and damaged files in iTunes. Wait for the installation process to finish. Windows displays a progress bar during the installation. Click the "Finish" button when prompted.
