Prepaid Alltel phone users can purchase cards containing minutes from local stores with electronics departments and even from some pharmacies. Call the toll-free Alltel telephone number from another phone and enter the prepaid card's information to add the minutes to your account. Prepaid Alltel accounts negate the need for having to pay for more minutes than are used, and also eliminate the need for contractual obligations.

• Alltel Prepaid Wireless Refill Card
• Second phone

Instructions

1. Purchase an Alltel Prepaid Wireless Refill Card from stores such as Walmart or Target, or from your local pharmacy. Prepaid cards vary in cost, depending on the amount of minutes included on them.

2. Call 1-800-466-9576 from a phone other than the one listed under your prepaid Alltel card. Enter your Alltel telephone number when prompted by the messages on the other line, and then press the "#" key.

3. Enter the prepaid Alltel card's PIN number and then press the "#" key. Upon verification, the minutes will be added to your Alltel account.
