How to Manually Delete the Cache & Cookies in Firefox

Save

Mozilla Firefox improves your browsing experience by temporarily storing information on your computer when you browse a website. Images, HTML pages and other files related to the Web page are added to Firefox's cache, so they can be retrieved more quickly during subsequent visits. Some websites also store cookies on your computer, which allow more customized or personal information to persist, such as login information. Although you can configure Firefox to automatically delete the cache and cookies at regular intervals, you can also manually delete them at any point in time.

  • Open Mozilla Firefox.

  • Hold the "Ctrl" and "Shift" keys down and press "Delete" to open the "Clear Recent History" window.

  • Click the drop-down menu labeled "Time range to clear," and select "Everything."

  • Check "Cookies" and "Cache" from the "Details" list.

  • Click "Clear Now" to manually delete the cache and cookies.
