1
Unroll part of a roll of wrapping paper onto a flat surface, white-side up.
-
2
Place the box on top of the paper and pull the end of the wrapping paper against the side of the box. Tape it in place with clear tape.
-
-
3
Roll the box carefully toward the roll of wrapping paper to cover the sides of the box. Cut the excess paper away with scissors.
-
4
Tape the cut edge of the paper to the box with clear tape.
-
5
Fold the paper on the sides of the box inward at the sides and tape them to the box, leaving two flaps on each side.
-
6
Fold the bottom flaps at each end upward and tape them in place. Fold the top flaps down and tape them in place as well.
-
7
Add decorative bows or ribbon to the box. Wrap strips of ribbon around the box both ways to cross over each other, or place a sticky gift bow anywhere on the box.
-
8
Label the gift with a sticky gift tag or make your own creative tag. Use a gingerbread man to mark the gift by baking it, cooling it and using white icing to spell the name of the recipient. Alternatively, hand-paint the name of the recipient onto a handmade ornament and hang it onto the gift.
