How to Make a Footprint Snowman Shirt
Arts and crafts involving footprints make a personal and thoughtful gift for parents. One such craft that is constructed using footprints is a snowman shirt. This application takes only a few materials and uses the footprint as the shape and base for a snowman, making it ideal for winter holidays and birthdays.
Things You'll Need
- Paint pan
- White fabric paint
- Fabric paint pens
- Dark colored T-shirt
- Paper
- Wash cloth
Instructions

Lay out papers over your floor. Place the paint pan on the floor on top of the papers, along with your T-shirt.

Pour white fabric paint into the paint pan just to cover the bottom.

Place your foot into the white paint and place your foot in the middle of the shirt with your toes facing the bottom of the shirt.

Remove your foot and wipe off the paint with a wash cloth.

Dip your fingertips into the white paint and one fingertip at a time press them all over the shirt to create the effect of snow.

Allow the white paint to dry for 12 hours. Once dry, draw a scarf, eyes, nose, mouth, top hat, stick arms and buttons on the snowman with the fabric paint pens.

Let the fabric paint pen drawings dry for six hours.

Tips & Warnings
Signing your initials and date on the back of the shirt or at the bottom can be a great addition to the shirt.
Always have the shirt on a flat surface, even when drying.
