How to Arrange Polka Dots
Polka dots are a fun and decorative way to liven up fabrics, walls and furniture. If you are creating your own polka dot-decorated items, whether you are painting on the polka dots or pasting them on or creating them with computer software, there are two ways you most commonly see polka dots. One way is uniformly and the other way is laid out like bricks. Choose the way that most appeals to you.

1
Space out the first row of polka dots. Space them evenly. If you have a good eye, you can eyeball the distance. Otherwise, use exact measurement with a ruler or tape measure.
-
2
Place the second row according to how you want the polka dots to look, namely either uniform or brickwork. If uniform, then place the second row neatly under and aligned with the first row. If choosing a brickwork pattern, space the second row under and between the dots in the first row.

3
Continue the chosen pattern for however many rows you need. If doing a uniform pattern, every row will look the same. If doing a brickwork pattern, the rows will alternate like the first two rows.
