How to Delete Factory Games Off Your Phone


One of the things that tempers the excitement of buying a new smartphone is finding out it has been preloaded with a slew of unwanted applications, including games you're not interested in. Easily remove these games; doing so frees up space on the phone to store pictures, videos or other information. Even replace the preloaded games with ones you actually want.


  • Press on the game's icon with your finger and hold it there until the icons begin to shake.

  • Touch the small "x" icon that has appeared in the upper left corner of the icon.

  • Confirm the deletion by pressing "Yes" on the dialog box that appears. The game has now been deleted. Press the home button to return your phone to normal use.


  • Open the options menu and navigate to the "Advanced" section. Within this menu, open the "Applications" submenu.

  • Scroll down to highlight the game you want to remove, and click on it.

  • Select the "Delete" option and confirm when it asks you to do so. You may be prompted to reset your device at this point.


  • Select "My apps" from the home screen of the Android Market. If this option is not available, press "Menu," followed by "My apps."

  • Choose which application you wish to uninstall from the list that appears.

  • Press or click on the "Uninstall" button to remove the app. If asked to confirm, click "Yes."
