The Cowon J3 music, video and FM radio device features firmware that responds to user input via the device's 16 million-color touch-screen display. Occasionally, you might experience problems with your Cowon J3. Resetting your Cowon J3 firmware is often the easiest way to clear minor technical issues, such as problems connecting to your computer via USB. A firmware reset does not erase files or change settings.
Things You'll Need
- Paper clip
Flip the Cowon J3 over so the back faces up.
Locate the small "Reset" button beneath the hole marked "Mic."
Unfold a paper clip and push it inside the "Reset" hole. The J3 turns off and starts up.
Wait while the firmware reloads. The reset is complete.
