How to Make Personalized Dog Tags With a Picture
If you know someone who is or has served in the military, they will have personal dog tags displaying their name and identification number. One way to honor a person who has served their country is to create custom dog tags featuring a photo of the person. You can make personalized dog tags using materials purchasable at any arts and crafts supply store.

Lay the dog tags onto a sheet of newspaper and arrange the them with the side displaying the name side face down.

Cut out two iconic photographs of the person with scissors. Make sure to cut out the photos so that they will fit perfectly inside the area of the dog tags.

Cover the backs of the dog tags with tacky craft glue. Place the photos onto the glued dog tags and allow the glue to dry for 30 minutes.

Paint clear acrylic glaze over the pictures and onto the dog tags. Cover both sides of the tags with two layers of glaze, then allow the glaze to dry for two hours. The glaze will protect the photographs and secure them onto the dog tags.
